Our congregation owns – and is located within – some acreage of grape vineyards, and we are located in an amazing agricultural area for grape growing. We are known as “The Church in the Vineyard”. The vineyard is not just what surrounds us, or the many acres of grapes in our region. The “vineyard” is all of God’s creation, for which we are called to care for and love. Climate change threatens just about every aspect of creation in one way or another. The associated disruptions and dislocations demand that Christians witness for creation care in a loving manner.
