The Dallas and Ft. Worth chapters of Texas Interfaith Power & Light will be out at Earth Day Texas 2016, promoting the Paris Pledge! Building off of the success from last year’s event, we’re hoping to engage with hundreds of people of diverse backgrounds, all of whom are already motivated to be at an Earth Day event. We’ll have information about the Pledge, and offer people a chance to sign-up right away if ready, and/or receive additional information (by e-mail) on how to reduce their carbon footprint.
If the preparation work goes well, we plan to give out seed balls with native Texas prairie seeds to those who commit to the Pledge. Finally, in order to emphasize that we can overcome the challenges of climate change by working together and staying positive, we’ll have an “Earthline” inspired by the Climate Ribbon project.
All-in-all, our booth should be much more exciting than last year’s! (pictured, advertising a screening of The Wisdom to Survive last year).
