The Earth is One Native Land: Community Transformation and the Virtues of Sustainability
Presented by Valeria Wicker
What does sustainability mean? What does a sustainable community look like? Is transformation necessary to get there? What are the attitudes and values needed? Join One Human Family for interfaith devotions and a discussion exploring the principles and practices that can bring us into a more viable age.
“…the light of divine knowledge and heavenly grace hath illumined and inspired the essence of all created things, in such wise that in each and every thing a door of knowledge hath been opened, and within every atom traces of the sun hath been made manifest.” Baha’u’llah
Valeria Wicker is a graduate of Wellesley College and Tufts University. Growing up in a rural setting that was gradually overtaken by development, she gained an early interest in justice and ecology. Over the years, she has lived in the Midwest, the deep South, New England and Spain.
