50th Anniversary of Earth Day – THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED, NO NEW DATE SET YET
Join us for a celebration of the 50th Anniversary at an Earth Day Shabbat Service on Friday, April 17th.
Following the worship service, we have invited a panel to share their work with you on what they are doing to help our earth and changing climate. Ellen Shepard will be our moderator.
Lynn Lyle, with Interfaith Creation Care of the Triangle. Lynn serves as President. ICCT’s mission is to work within and across communities of faith to urgently fulfill our sacred duty to love and protect Creation, address our changing climate, and ensure justice for all life.
Don Addu with Citizens’ Climate Lobby. Don is the Southeast Director of CCL. CCL’s primary focus is grass roots organizing along with direct Congressional lobbying on the federal level. CCL s a non-profit, non-partisan, international organization dedicated to creating the political will for a stable climate.
Karen Bearden with 350.org Triangle. Karen is a Team Coordinator for her Chapter. 350.org Triangle is part of an international movement of ordinary people working to end the age of fossil fuels and build a world of community-led renewable energy for all.
