  • An Activity at Congregation

Guest speaker Christine Muller, environmental educator and activist, and lifelong student of Baha’i, will speak on the topic, “Blessed is the Earth: Baha’i Perspectives.” She will introduce the Baha’i Faith and present some of the Baha’i teachings that are specifically helpful to address the climate crisis, and will point out ways that all religions can offer a spiritual foundation for environmental issues. Christine is also a past president and current secretary of the Board of Directors of RI Interfaith Power & Light. A fellowship hour will follow, featuring information about RI IPL and the local Greenlove Foundation, co-beneficiaries of April’s Share the Plate collections, and about the Teen Center, a program of East Greenwich Academy that trains youth in leadership and specifically in Non-violence and Restorative Practice. A reception hosted by the Green Congregation Committee will offer locally sourcved refreshments and fair trade coffee.
