Warner Memorial Presbyterian Church is hosting a Green Film Fest during the season of Lent. Listed below is the schedule for a variety of films that highlight the beauty and fragility of God’s creation. Showtime is 7:00 pm.   Popcorn and beverages will be provided.

 

February 27:

Winged Migration ( a 2001 documentary showcasing the immense journeys routinely made by birds in their migrations)

Eleventh Hour (a 2007 documentary film created, produced and narrated by Leonard DiCaprio on the state of the natural environment. The film documents the grave problems facing the planet’s ecosystems)

March 6:

Oceans ( a 2010 documentary that takes viewers from the ocean’s surface to its depths and onto exotic shores for a glimpse of the wondrous creatures who inhabit the great waters.)

Some Place With A Mountain  ( a 2010 documentary that tells the story of a small group of island atolls in the tropical Pacific that are disappearing because of sea rise)

March 20:

Happy Feet ( a 2006 animated look into the world of the Emperor Penguins who find their soul mates through song and the journey of one penguin who cannot sing but discovers he can tap dance instead)

Food, Inc. (a 2008 documentary that examines corporate farming in the United States and how agribusiness impacts the environment, animals, and its employees)
