ISNA Green Initiative Team has been observing this day. This year we will also partner with Interfaith Power and Light (A National Interfaith Environment Advocacy Organization) to observe Earth week as Faith Climate Action Week (FCAW) rather than just the day.
The fast pace of the climate change, uncontrolled consumption of diminishing nonrenewable resources demand we be proactive to take care of our planet.
Since Faith Climate Action Week coincides Ramadan, the Green Ramadan Campaign as such will be observed as part of it.
ISNA Presents Green Ramadan Webinars
Climate change and Ecological degradation are existential threats confronting the natural order. They are not only social and economic problems but more importantly they are moral and ethical issues. April and May, Muslims around the world will be observing the Sacred Month of Ramadan. The ultimate goal of which is to purify us and brings closer to our Creator. As part of this process of purification, we can also make Ramadan more environmentally friendly. We must look at our food consumption, wastage, and our lifestyle.
So, what are the steps to make our Ramadan more environmentally friendly this year?
