Walk Description: This is a collaboration between Walk2Connect and Parents for the Planet, a Denver-based support group for planet caregivers. We’ll spend each walk talking through a particular topic. Climate change is affecting us, we need to talk about it and start envisioning how to be resilient and successful physically, emotionally, and spiritually in this new world.
April: The Hope – There’s a lot of good news happening and reasons for hope. Let’s find our optimism.
Walking Movement Leader: Rhiannon Gallagher is the founder of Parents for the Planet, Hopeful Planet News, and the Jeffco Climate Action Team. She brings her training by Al Gore, years of experience in this topic, and her passion for the spiritual and emotional support we need around climate change to every walk. Additional experts may attend particular topics.
Schedule & Meeting Location: We will meet Boat House & bathrooms off of 26th Street/Byron Place at Wolff Street. We’ll have a quick introductory talk and then hit the loop around the lake. We should be done walking no later than 4:00 pm.
