Impacts of climate change on the world’s most vulnerable peoples.  Video: “The Hungry Tide”, followed by discussion

This is a  follow-up event to our Creation-Care Sermon and activities held on Feb 17th.   This will be part of our Lenten Study series on March 10th, 4 pm., with the showing of the video, “The Hungry Tide”, a poignant, personal story of a young-woman’s struggle to save Kiribati, a Pacific-Island nation being rendered uninhabitable by the effects of sea-level rise.  We hope to have a native Pacific Islander (husband of one of our members) provide his personal perspective on the plight of his people.  A discussion will follow concerning our moral and ethical responsibilities to these and other most vulnerable people who are and will continue to suffer the most from the negative impacts of unmitigated climate change.
