Iowans!

In celebration of Earth Day 2016, you are invited to participate in a March & Rally for Our Renewable and Sustainable Electric Energy Future in downtown Des Moines, Iowa Saturday April 23rd. We support the increased use of solar and wind energy, as renewable and sustainable technologies to generate our electric energy needs. We support the increased use of all-electric vehicles and alternative means of transportation to transform our world for future generations.

We will march from the Iowa Women of Achievement Pedestrian Bridge located on the Principal River Walk to Cowles Commons for the rally. Bring your signs and banners to support wind, solar and electric vehicles. The rally will feature a solar energy display, a model wind turbine, and all-electric vehicles. There will be live music, plus speakers from the solar and wind energy community, policy makers, students and more.

March Details:

When: Saturday April 23rd, 2016. Gathering at 9:30 am.

Where: The east side of the Iowa Women of Achievement pedestrian bridge.

Parking: Argonne Armory Building lot at 602 Robert D. Ray Dr. or along the street.

 

Walk: We will march on the Principal River Walk to Cowles Commons at 10 am, please bring your signs and banners to support wind, solar and electric vehicles.

Rally: The Rally will begin once the marchers arrive at Cowles Commons, located at 3rd & Locust Street.

Afterwards: Head out to the Earth Day activities at the Science Center of Iowa & Botanical Center!
