SACRED GROUND: Connecting Food, Faith, and Climate Action.
Sunday, April 25, 2021 @ 4:00 pm ONLINE EVENT
How we grow our food largely determines how we treat the world, and one another. Join us for a multi-faith service to celebrate Earth Day 2021. We’ll dig into a discussion on the connection between our food practices, climate change, and environmental justice. How do our faiths call us to respond through practical solutions.
The program will featurefolks from Crop Swap LA, who will show us how to grow food on unused spaces, create sustainable green jobs and hyperlocal, nutrient-rich food. Also, friends from Food Forward will highlight reducing food waste and increasing access to healthy fruits and vegetables through food recovery.

“Kiss the Ground” is a new film how about how regenerating the world’s soils has the potential to rapidly stabilize Earth’s climate, restore lost ecosystems, and create abundant food supplies. This film explains why transitioning to regenerative agriculture could be key in rehabilitating the planet, while simultaneously invigorating a new sense of hope and inspiration in viewers.
