Adat Shalom continually celebrates creation, especially on Shabbat, the weekly anniversary of creation’s culmination. We do this in our partly-solar-powered, EPA Energy Star Award building, which we enter by passing our onsite organic “Mishnah Garden”, followed up with a (lower-carbon-footprint) vegetarian oneg luncheon for all who join us. From the bimah on February 9th (parashat Mishpatim / Exodus 21-24), we will celebrate Interfaith Powre & Light’s National Preach-In on Global Warming, as well as the concurrent national “evolution shabbat” — rooting ourselves firmly at the intersection of science, spirit, and sustainability…
