First United Methodist Church Green Team will host Dr. Peter Bakken, Director of Wisconsin Interfaith Power & Light, who will give a presentation on “The 6 Americas,” a project of Yale and George Mason universities. Using nationally representative survey data on global warming beliefs, behaviors and policy preferences, the study identified six distinct groups of Americans ranging from the ‘Alarmed’ to the ‘Dismissive’. The six audiences have been tracked for size and ongoing evolution of their practices regarding climate change. Let us explore together our personal beliefs and what our own convictions may be calling us to do.
