- Earth Day Virtual Watch Party: For the 50th Earth Day and Faith Climate Action Week (April 17-26), our allies at Interfaith Power and Light are inviting member congregations to view The Human Element, an arresting new documentary from the producers of Racing Extinction and Chasing Ice. Environmental photographer James Balog captures the lives of everyday Americans on the front lines of climate change. With rare compassion and heart, The Human Element relays captivating stories from coast-to-coast, inspiring us to reevaluate our relationship with the natural world. Due to the restrictions required to limit the spread of COVID-19, James Balog and the Earth Vision Institute have offered a free link, good through April 26,2020, to view the film online to IPL congregations and their congregants. You can sign up to receive the link at https://www.interfaithpowerandlight.org/2020/01/the-human-element/.
St. John’s will host a discussion of the film via Zoom videoconference on Sunday, April 26 at 5 p.m.
